Principal’s Message

Welcome to the Advanced Career Education (ACE) Center at Highland Springs. The mission of the ACE Center at Highland Springs is to provide a relevant and rigorous educational training experience for our students in order to prepare them to successfully transition to postsecondary education or gainful employment. The ACE Center at Highland Springs offers industry standard certifications and college dual enrollment options in many of our programs that make our students immediately marketable in the industry. Our goal for each student upon completion, is to have the tools necessary to either become enrolled, enlisted, and/or employed.

We believe that our students are learning to be the future leaders of our society. The faculty members at the ACE Center at Highland Springs are each experts in their respective fields. Additionally, we have a full time Math and English teacher who provide additional core content expertise to facilitate a rich cross-curricular learning experience for our students. We adhere to the Henrico County Public Schools Code of Student Conduct and believe that all our students will be successful. Our top priority is to provide our students with quality instruction and hands-on experience so that our students have the background knowledge it takes to be successful in their field.

Dr. Emily Loving, Principal of ACE Center at Highland SpringsIt is an honor to serve as the Principal of the ACE Center at Highland Springs. As an educator, I have served as a teacher, coach, instructional technology integrator, K-12 science specialist, Lead STEM and secondary science specialist, and higher education adjunct professor. During this time, in addition to serving Henrico County, I also worked for Hanover County, Surry County and Chesterfield County Public Schools. I’m also a certified Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (earlier in my career I did this full time and part time in the summers). I am blessed with a wonderful family – including my husband, daughter, son, two golden retrievers, and a cat. When I’m not at the ACE Center or teaching a college class, I love to spend quality family time outside at the beach/river or exploring the outdoors on four wheelers.

Please feel free to contact me or any member of the administrative team here at the Advanced Career Education Center at Highland Springs. We are here to assist you and create a relevant and unsurpassed educational environment for your child. I hope you have a wonderful school year!
