WELCOME
Welcome to the website of the Advanced Career Education (ACE) Center at Highland Springs! The ACE Center at Highland Springs has a student population of approximately 700 and is served by 52 faculty and staff, which includes 25 teachers. Students from all nine Henrico County high schools are provided technical opportunities with emphasis on core academics in a variety of programs.
Classes are organized into three-credit blocks, and students earn three credits per year for course completion. Students enrolled at the ACE Center at Highland Springs are preparing for employment and further education, including apprenticeship. Depending on the specific tech center program and the job market, senior students are given the opportunity to work, during the second semester, in a job related to the classroom.
ACE CENTER STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS:
Students develop leadership and technical skills by participating in the activities and competitive events of the co-curricular student organizations including:
- DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America)
- FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America)
- HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)
- SkillsUSA
